About This Event
Join us for an immersive evening of tapping into different healing modalities of the Haitian Dyaspora inspired by the "lakou".
In Haitian culture, the "lakou" is much more than a communal living space. It is an idea that guides how Haitian people show up for each other and for themselves. The "lakou" is also a space for learning the wisdom that you need to heal yourself. For Haitians in the Dyaspora, the "lakou" plays an even more essential role of helping folks heal the disconnect that comes from being physically away from the land of Ayiti. Join us for an immersive evening of tapping into different healing modalities of the Haitian Dyaspora. Guests will be able to participate in the following activities lead by Haitian women healers and spiritualists:
Flower essences workshop
Haitian candle carving workshop
Essential oils workshop
Haitian Tea workshop
Prior registration is required for admission to this event. Seating capacity is limited, and admittance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Registration does not guarantee a seat, so attendees are advised to arrive early.
